Kate, Instead of writing comments in some of your posts, I've just decided to follow up a response with a post. House envy for me has always been all the homes in Nancy Meyers films- The Holiday being my absolute favourite, followed by Something's Gotta Give and It's Complicated. Whoever she hires to decorate those homes is a genius. The envy I have is extreme and dangerous! Whenever I watch one of those movies the wheels start turning in my brain and all I want to do is redecorate, move or build a new home! So today I am going to post about Amanda's house in The Holiday. (Really it's meant to be!) Maybe it's also because she lives in LA and I LOOOOVE California. Here are my favourite rooms from that movie.
Look closely Kate, there's a settee in the eat in kitchen! And holy crap I love those windows and lanterns and chairs and table...I could go on and on.
Also the staircase and hallway are insanely beautiful. If I were to build a house one day I think I would do everything in my power to have that staircase/hallway.
The master bedroom is also a dream and is one of the reasons I want to put my cream shag rug under my bed.
Ok , so now that I've renewed my love for this house off I go to California in my mind or at least off I go to building my dream home...cue to Mike rolling his eyes.
